Generating a Coach-Assigned Rating Process
The Coach-Assigned Rating is exclusively for non-rated players who have not logged any matches in DUPR. If a player already has an established DUPR, meaning they have logged matches, your assessment of their skills and gameplay will not impact their rating.
1. Players can download the My DUPR Coach app app using your unique invitation link or QR code, which can be found in your My DUPR Coach Dashboard or the hamburger menu within your DUPR Coach tool.
Whenever possible, use the QR code as it prompts players to confirm their coach assignment.
- To assist with player onboarding, we've created the Pre-Rating Session – Player Checklist. Please feel free to share this with your players to complete before attending their DUPR Rating Session and before assigning their Coach-Assigned Rating.
2. Players create an account and are assigned to your coaching team on the app.

If a player is assigned to the wrong coach, they can easily switch teams by going to the My DUPR Coach app and accessing the menu. From there, they can select "Find a Coach," which will open the DUPR Coach Map. They can then search for and select the correct coach, and click "Get Your DUPR" to update their team assignment.

Currently, downloading and creating an account is free for players and does not require a subscription.
3. Players connect their My DUPR Coach app to the DUPR app.
Players must download the DUPR app and create an account if they don’t already have one.
If you discover that a player already has an established DUPR, meaning they have logged matches, the Coach-Assigned Rating does not apply to them. You should inform them of this and consider a session refund. DO NOT recommend they delete their existing DUPR account, as this violates DUPR and DUPR Coach policy. If this occurs, both the player’s DUPR account and your DUPR Coach credentials may be suspended.
4. Players who register under your coaching team attend a DUPR Assessment Session.
5. During the session, you evaluate each player's skill execution and record their doubles match (optional) to generate their Coach-Assigned DUPR.
- You can setup the Coach-Assigned Rating Tool on your phone or navigate to Coach-Assigned Rating Tool on your computer to evaluate them, capture their game film, and generate their rating.
- If you don’t use the Coach Assigned DUPR Rating tool live, you can complete it afterward. Once players are registered under your team, their accounts will populate in the tool when you start typing their name or email.
6. After completing the scoring in the Coach Assigned DUPR Rating tool, uploading their film, and pressing "Submit", the rating will transfer to the My DUPR Coach app and, if connected, to the DUPR app.
7. The player will receive two emails: one with their Coach-Assigned DUPR Rating and another with their film. While our system saves the film for validation purposes, please keep the film readily available just in case.
- After receiving their film via email, the player can choose to upload it (this requires a subscription).
