Credentialing Process Details

To become a fully credentialed DUPR Coach, please complete the following steps:

1. Complete and pass the two practice assessments

When completing the assessments, begin by identifying the player's level to establish their rating range. From there, use the number of faults you observe to determine whether they fall on the low, mid, or high end of that range. These players are located in Delaware, so please keep that in mind as you complete your evaluations. To help you successfully complete and pass the DUPR Coach assessments, we've created the following resources for you:

2. Rate four non-rated players and connect them with DUPR

After passing the DUPR Coach assessments, your next step is to rate four non-rated players and connect them to DUPR. You have full flexibility in how you structure the session:

  • Include only non-rated players or add a DUPR-rated player as a reference point.
  • Charge for the session or offer it for free.
  • Focus on evaluating your players in doubles match play across the eight key game areas. Review the following to ensure your rating session runs smoothly and successfully for both you and your players:

Before the Session

  • Use this Customizable DUPR Rating Session Flyer Template to promote your sessions.
  • Share either the generic Pre-Rating Session Player Checklist or your personalized Pre-Rating Session Player Checklist to guide players through setup and ensure a smooth rating session.
    • Players will download both the My DUPR Coach app and the DUPR Coach app and create accounts.
      • When players create their My DUPR Coach app accounts, they can enter your Coach Code to automatically join your coaching team.
    • No subscription is required to receive a Coach-Assigned DUPR.
    • Make sure your players are assigned to your team and connected to DUPR. If they are currently on another coach's team (often David’s) despite using your Coach Code, QR code, or link, have them complete step three outlined here. You can also email support@duprcoach.com, and our team can manually transfer them to your team.
  • If you prefer to share only your unique Coach Code or QR code/link, refer to the Invite Players Guide for step-by-step instructions.
  • Verify your players' names in the DUPR app to ensure they are non-rated.
    • Coach-Assigned DUPRs apply only to non-rated players in the Doubles Rating.

During the Session

  • Assess and score your players using the DUPR Coach tool or this PDF.
    • Enter the player's name or email first to unlock scoring.
    • Video is optional; if used, ensure it meets the filming requirements.
  • Submit the ratings. If all pre-session steps are completed, ratings will automatically sync to the player’s My DUPR Coach and DUPR accounts.
    • Your players will receive their Projected Coach-Assigned DUPR (if their accounts aren’t fully set up) or their Official Coach-Assigned DUPR, along with any coaching notes you’ve provided, directly via email.

After the Session

  • Follow up with your players to schedule their next rating or improvement session.
  • Coach-Assigned DUPRs can be updated until the player logs a match in DUPR.

Checking Your Players

  • In the DUPR Coach tool, view your players under the My Players tab.
  • On the My DUPR Coach Dashboard (desktop or laptop), access full player details and connections under the Players tab, and review all rating history and submitted notes under the Rating History tab.
important

Coach-Assigned DUPRs are only for non-rated players who have not yet logged matches in DUPR. A DUPR Coach’s assessment does not impact an existing DUPR established through match logging. If a player already has an established DUPR, the Coach-Assigned rating does not apply. In this case, inform the player and consider offering a session refund if they have already attended.

INTEGRITY AND FAIR PLAY

The honesty and integrity of the DUPR system and DUPR Coach program are our highest priorities. Any DUPR Coach found violating fair play rules, community guidelines, or misusing their credentials, including match manipulation, fraudulent match logging, or improper use of Coach-Assigned DUPRs, may have their credentials suspended or permanently revoked. Coaches whose credentials are revoked are not eligible for a refund.
